Everything went according to plan when second rankedKortrijk (19-4) outleveled at home 8th ranked Okapi Aalst (13-11) 91-63 on Wednesday. Kortrijk made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Aalst turnovers. Kortrijk looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Niels De Ridder (195-2001) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and Slovenian Leon Stergar (193-2000) chipped in 16 points. At the losing side Bosnian forward Njegos Sikiras (205-1999, agency: PEPI SPORT) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and American guard Trey Tennyson (193-2001, college: TCU) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kortrijk have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 19-4 record behind leader Oostende. Aalst lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Union Mons.
